bio
Amanda Triano (Madrid, 1995) explores the transformation of nature and matter across deep geological time to reveal the otherness of the world that surrounds us. Her practice examines the complex and often contradictory ways in which humans relate to the natural realm, weaving encrypted narratives drawn from science fiction, mythology, Indigenous thought, occultism, and industrial evolution.
Through sculpture, found objects, visual systems, and installation, Triano evokes transmutational and cosmological movements—experiences of territory, decay, and regeneration. Her work reflects on the fall of time, on ruin and obsolescence, where vulnerability unfolds as both descent and ascension. From weariness and tenderness, pareidolia emerges as a possibility to accompany loss.
She conceives the exhibition as a medium and ecosystem, establishing interdependencies between works and the contexts that host them. Through processes of collection, fusion, firing, or reconstruction, she animates what might otherwise remain inert, producing images and objects that act as conduits of memory and meaning.
